About MusicTested

Music gear is full of specs that sound important and options that look identical. MusicTested cuts through it: what a piece of gear does, who it is built for, and whether it is worth the money for you.

We cover guitars and bass, keyboards and synths, recording and studio gear, drums and DJ equipment. Research-based buying guides are labeled as guides, and we reserve "hands-on tested" for gear we have evaluated directly.
